Again, another beautiful day in the ocean. We left Barnegat Bay at 7:00 this morning and headed for Sheepshead Bay.

Di nuovo, un’altra bella giornata nell’oceano. Abbiamo lasciato Barnegat Bay alle 7:00 di questa mattina e ci siamo diretti a Sheepshead Bay.

As we made our way closer to the Sheepshead Bay destination, a certain nostalgia began to set in for my two cats Nero and Schizzi back in West Islip. And then suddenly, as if he read my mind, Wolfie jumped up and said, “Look Zia…it’s Brooklyn!”.

Mentre ci avvicinavamo alla destinazione di Sheepshead Bay, una certa nostalgia ha cominciato a prendere piede in me… la nostalgia di casa mia e dei miei gatti Nerone e Schizzo. E poi all’improvviso, come se mi avesse letto nel pensiero, Wolfie balzò in piedi e disse: “Zia, guarda, è Brooklyn!”

Once inside Sheepshead Bay, we took a mooring at Miramar Yacht Club for the night. We went ashore and enjoyed a very nice meal at a local Turkish restaurant. The best pistachio Baklava I’ve ever had!!! Of course, we made it in time for the Queen’s 5 o’clock gin-n-tonic!

Una volta all’interno di Sheepshead Bay, abbiamo ormeggiato al Miramar Yacht Club per la notte. Siamo scesi a terra e ci siamo goduti un ottimo pasto in un ristorante turco locale. Il miglior Baklava al pistacchio che abbia mai mangiato! Ovviamente ce l’abbiamo fatta in tempo per il gin-n-tonic Regale delle 17,00!
