This morning, there were several marine police personnel in the marina. I watched them inspect many of the boats and how well they were tied up. The Sheriff then tied up at the entrance dock and personally spoke to boat owners about adding fenders prior to the storm.
Questa mattina c’erano diversi membri della polizia marittima nel porto turistico. Li ho visti ispezionare molte delle barche e per assicurarsi che fossero ben ormeggiate. Lo sceriffo ha quindi attraccato al molo d’ingresso e ha parlato personalmente con i proprietari di barche riguardante l’aggiunta di parabordi prima della tempesta.
Since it’s gloomy and boring around here, we took the car to Southport today.

The town is tiny but very pretty. We visited the Southport Museum, which is tiny as well, but told the history of the town and its origins. The best part of the museum were the grounds. They are beautifully spread out in front of the Cape Fear Inlet…and the magnificent magnolia that greets its visitors!
La cittadina è piccola ma molto carina. Abbiamo visitato il Southport Museum, anch’esso minuscolo, ma che raccontava la storia della città e le sue origini. La parte migliore del museo erano i giardini. Si dispongono davanti al Cape Fear passo…
e alla magnifica magnolia che accoglie i suoi visitatori!
