Happy Halloween! I can’t help but miss being at home for Halloween and giving out candy to the neighborhood kids that knock on my door. Actually, I have a butler that comes out once a year, specifically on Halloween, to help me give away candy….and he wears a mask for protection against Covid because at his age you can’t be too careful!

Felice Halloween! Non posso fare a meno di sentire la mancanza di essere a casa per Halloween e distribuire caramelle ai bambini del vicinato che bussano alla mia porta. In realtà, ho un maggiordomo che esce una volta all’anno, in particolare ad Halloween, per aiutarmi a regalare caramelle…. E inoltre indossa una mascherina per proteggersi dal Covid, perché alla sua età non si può abbassare la guardia!

We left Beaufort Town Docks and headed south. It was recommended to us that we anchor at Hammock Bay for the night, even though we might hear some military exercises being held! There were some helicopters fly overhead at around 10 pm….but no shots were heard.

Abbiamo lasciato Beaufort Town Docks e ci siamo diretti a sud. Ci è stato consigliato di ancorare a Hammock Bay per la notte, anche se tutta l’area e` zona militare e avremmo rischiato di udire delle esercitazioni militari in corso! Verso le 22,00 abbiamo sentito in fatti alcuni elicotteri militari….ma niente spari!

I couldn’t help noticing that the water has begun to change color around us.

Non ho potuto fare a meno di notare che le acque intorno a noi hanno incominciato a cambiare colore…sono di un verde piu` chiaro.

AND DOLPHINS….DOLPHINS EVERYWHERE!!!! Too bad I’m not quick enough to take a picture of these beautiful creatures as they dance and play in the waters in front of our boat.

E DELFINI…. DELFINI OVUNQUE!!!! Peccato non essere abbastanza veloce da scattare una foto a queste bellissime creature mentre ballano e giocano nelle acque di fronte alla nostra prua.

I kept myself busy today with my fresh string beans. I cleaned them and cooked them in the oven, so I wouldn’t sacrifice precious water to boil them.

Mi sono tenuto occupato oggi con i miei fagiolini freschi. Li ho puliti e cotti in forno, così da non sacrificore acqua preziosa per bollirli.

And the dish came out so yummy that I decided to publish it on this month’s SBCC Masthead Recipe page.

E il piatto è venuto fuori così gustoso che ho deciso di pubblicare la ricetta sullo pagina del mensile del club, dedicato alle mie ricette.
