Waking up early in the morning and having to clean the dinghy from the droppings of an insolent cormorant, is not really a good start to the day.

Svegliarsi di prima mattina e dover pulire il dinghy dagli escrementi di un cormorano insolente, non e` proprio un buon inizio alla giornata.

Today we attended the United Sates Sailboat Show in downtown Annapolis. It was, as always, very interesting to see what the latest innovations are for sail boats. Even more interesting (and fun) is to visit the new sailboats being exhibited at the show. There are all different types and sizes, something for every taste and wallet. As usual the show was crowded, even though it was closing day.

Oggi abbiamo visitato la fiera nautica di Annapolis. È stato, come sempre, molto interessante vedere quali sono le ultime innovazioni per le barche a vela. Ancora più interessante (e divertente) è visitare le nuove barche a vela esposte in fiera. Ce ne sono di tutti i tipi e dimensioni, qualcosa per tutti i gusti e portafoglio. Come al solito la fiera era molto affollatoa anche se era l’ultimo giorno di.

Lunch with musical entertainment is always nice.

Pranzo accompagnato con intrattenimento musicale è sempre simpatico.

Some boats we saw were nice…others were nicer….and then still another was like stepping into the Taj Mahal!

Alcune barche che abbiamo visto erano belle. . . altri erano più belli… e poi un altro ancora l’abbiamo definita il Taj Mahal delle barche!

Of all the boats we visited, I fell in love with the Hallberg-Rassy 44.

Built in Sweden, this yacht is an ocean cruiser that has powerful sailing performance with maximum comfort. The hull is a German Frers design, one of the most respected sailboat designers in the world. It is a deep center cockpit boat designed to be comfortable during long ocean passages.

Di tutte le barche che abbiamo visitato, mi sono innamorato dell’Hallberg-Rassy 44. Costruito in Svezia, questo yacht è un’ottima barca oceanica che da buone prestazioni di navigazione con il massimo comfort. Lo scafo è un design di German Frers, uno dei designer di barche a vela più rispettati al mondo.

The interiors are modern and offer all the amenities of yacht living, including full heads with stand-up showers, a galley complete with icemaker and dishwasher drawer, an aft queen-size owner’s stateroom and plenty of room for guests.

Gli interni sono moderni e offrono tutti i comfort per una vita a bordo, tra cui cucina attrezzata di freezer e lavastoviglie, una cabina armatoriale a poppa con bagno e doccia separata, e ampio accomodamento a prua per gli ospiti.

And then there’s someone that enjoys lounging aft….hopefully NOT while cruising!

E poi c’è qualcuno che si diverte a rilassarsi a poppa…. speriamo NON durante la navigazione!
