Today was a day filled with chores. It had to be done.
After a leisurely breakfast, we cleaned the boat, head, galley, cabins and cockpit. When household duties were finished, we took the dinghy to shore with a load of clothes to wash and a shopping wagon for filling with food,
Oggi è stata una giornata piena di faccende domestiche. Era necessario farle.
Dopo una piacevole colazione, ci siamo dati da fare a pulire la barca; bagno, cucina, camerette e pozzetto. Quando le faccende domestiche erano finalmente finite, abbiamo caricato il dinghy di panni da lavare e una borsa da riempire con cibo.
After returning to the boat and unpacking the groceries and the laundry, we decided to go into town. Annapolis was brimming with people having a good time; the restaurants were filled with diners, there were live bands everywhere and the Naval Academy cadets enjoyed their ice cream while on leave.
Dopo essere tornati alla barca e aver disfatto la spesa e il bucato, abbiamo deciso di passare la serata a centro Annapolis. La cittadina brulicava di vita notturna; i ristoranti erano pieni di commensali, c’erano complessini musicali ovunque e i cadetti dell’Accademia Navale gustavano il loro gelato mentre erano in libera uscita.
And as we walked around and enjoyed the food and the music, we realized that the people of Annapolis take their Halloween very seriously!
E mentre passeggiavamo e ci godevamo il cibo e la musica, ci siamo resi conto che la gente di Annapolis prende molto sul serio il loro Halloween!
